CTE: Visit to Utica University’s Forensics Department

Students from Mrs. Lawless’s and Mrs. Sydoriw’s forensics classes recently had the opportunity to visit Utica University to explore careers and educational pathways in forensic science. During the visit, students toured the university’s forensic laboratories and participated in a hands-on mock crime scene activity. Faculty and students from Utica University guided participants through the process of documenting evidence, analyzing clues and understanding how forensic investigators reconstruct events at a crime scene. The experience provided valuable insight into real-world investigative techniques and the skills required for careers in forensic science and criminal justice. The visit offered students an engaging and practical look at how classroom learning connects to professional work in the field of forensics.
