On April 2nd and every Friday in the month of April MLK staff and teachers wear their Autism awareness shirts to celebrate the diversity of all the students at MLK. Sarah Marshall, a new 12:1:3:1 teacher to the Utica City School District, presented to the students of MLK about Autism and talked with students how they can befriend and support their autistic classmates.
