Jefferson Student Council Makes a Paws-itive Impact!

The Jefferson Student Council recently wrapped up an inspiring fundraising campaign for Anita's Stevens Swan Humane Society, raising an impressive $450 to support the organization's vital work. Through their dedication and creativity, student council members demonstrated what can be accomplished when a community comes together for a cause they care about.

The campaign kicked off with sales of handmade bracelets, giving students a colorful way to show their support. Student council members crafted each bracelet themselves, pouring their effort into every piece they sold. But the student council didn't stop there! Members also visited classrooms throughout the week to collect donations, spreading awareness about the humane society's mission and inspiring their peers to contribute. The combination of creative fundraising and direct outreach created momentum and enthusiasm across the entire school.

The highlight of the initiative came when a representative from Anita's Stevens Swan Humane Society visited Jefferson with Raja, an adorable rescue dog ready to steal some hearts. The students got the opportunity to meet Raja and learn more about the organization's rescue and adoption efforts. The student council gathered for special photos with their four-legged guest, capturing the joy and pride of their accomplishment. As the representative accepted the $450 donation, it was clear that Jefferson's generosity would make a real difference in the lives of animals in need.

This fundraising effort is a shining example of student leadership in action, proving that when young people channel their energy toward helping others, amazing things happen. Way to go, Jefferson Student Council!
